Last day! I woke up STILL not feeling well. It’s really annoying to have a constant headache and sore mouth. I headed to the gym for a 30 minute elliptical ride and it felt good to do some cardio again! I’d been in the car a lot the past couple of days and my legs needed some movement! Especially before my 5 hour flight tonight. Side note: my skin has slightly improved from yesterday.
I got ready for work, had my supplements and pgx, then headed out the door. I’m back in the office today, so I drank my smoothie there. I got pretty hungry around 11 so I snacked on some cashews and then had my lunch around noon. Back to my salad creations!
This one was arugula, spinach, mushroom, cucumbers, tomatoes, hemp hearts and tofu with some olive oil mixed in. I sautéed the tofu in salt and cayenne pepper.
I snacked on some almonds about an hour later and then some carrots and almond butter around 3. Apparently I was pretty hungry today.
I flew to Seattle and packed myself a meal for the 5 hour flight. I ended up just making a double batch of my lunch salad and ate that for dinner.
I also voluntarily cheated and had some gum because the thought of having more pressure on my head on top of what I already have sounded miserable.
Ending this diet is a little bittersweet. I have really enjoyed cooking the meals and eating the prepared foods. That being said, I travel for work and go out to eat with friends, and finding a fitting meal at a restaurant is really hard. I often feel guilt because I inadvertently mess up. Guilt is no good! I plan on maintaining this diet the majority of the time, but do plan on adding some foods back in. I miss apples so much!!! I plan on cutting out processed food, sugar, gluten and dairy as much as possible. I honestly think these foods lead to cravings and skin issues for me.
